What is this initiative?
The National BRC Support System is a collaborative effort to strengthen Bio-Input Resource Centres (BRCs) across India as viable, locally rooted enterprises that support the spread of Natural Farming.
The initiative brings together experienced organisations, practitioners, and knowledge institutions to build a common support ecosystem for BRC entrepreneurs.

The National BRC Support System is organised around a multi-level framework:

Roadmap
The initiative follows a phased and learning-oriented approach:
Phase 1: Initiation & Alignment
Onboarding of Resource Organisations, agreement on roles, frameworks and reporting systems. Establishing foundational protocols and building consensus across all stakeholders for cohesive implementation.
Phase 2: Capacity Development
Training of RO teams, strengthening of model BRCs, and preparation of training and advisory systems. Building technical expertise and operational capabilities at all levels.
Phase 3: Implementation Support
Field-level trainings, mentoring of BRC entrepreneurs, and facilitation of enterprise operations and markets. Hands-on support for ground-level execution and business development.
Phase 4: Consolidation & Learning
Documentation of experiences, performance reviews, refinement of frameworks, and strengthening of institutional linkages. Capturing insights and iterating based on field realities.
Phase 5: Scale Readiness
Expanding coverage, enabling replication, and supporting integration with government and financial systems. Preparing the ecosystem for wider adoption and long-term sustainability.
The roadmap remains adaptive, evolving based on field learning and feedback from practitioners.
